Why I Don’t Use Windows

Microsoft assumes ownership of the components in your computer. Microsoft does not have qualms about erasing any other operating system you have installed on another drive partition and all the data with it.1

Want to encrypt your hard drive? Microsoft owns the decryption keys.2

Windows is an ad delivery platform and it is virtually impossible to opt out.3

Microsoft forces updates on your computer that silently re-enable the features that you previously disabled — for Microsoft’s benefit, not yours. Microsoft operates in the shadows because you would be appalled if you saw what they did.4

Microsoft uses deception to trick you into storing your data on their servers. Microsoft owns your data.5

Microsoft goes to great length to prevent you from using any other web browser than Edge. Why? Because Microsoft Edge is spyware. Edge is a virus. It fulfills the criteria for malware.6

Microsoft tracks of all your web searches and tracks every search you make, even of your own files on your own computer if they are also stored on One-Drive.7

Would you loan your computer to a stranger — one who did not have your best interests in mind — and allow them to copy whatever they wanted? You just did that if you use Windows.

It’s a contradiction for a company to claim they are concerned about privacy if they use Windows.

Just say No.
